You start the game on the UEE Stanton, a mighty Idris frigate, and face challenges as a newly enlisted UEE pilot. About Squadron 42: Squadron 42 is a single player campaign that takes place within the Star Citizen universe. You will play it offline, separately from the Star Citizen Persistent Universe. Squadron 42 will be released in episodes, 3 in total, the first of which will become available in 2016. The first episode will have 70 missions which will total up to 20 hours of gameplay.
